Meet Dolly

My name is Sukoluhle Ncube (aka Dolly).  Originally from Zimbabwe, I’ve now made my home in South Africa, where I work as a caregiver. Being a mother to my 11-year-old daughter is both my greatest joy and my strongest motivation. My journey began with humble beginnings. Despite facing challenges with my academic results after completing my Ordinary Level in Zimbabwe, I found my calling early on. In 2000, I became involved with a remarkable group called YEPHRI (Youth Encounter Problems in Reproductive Health Issues), where I participated in the Junior Parliament. Through this platform, we aimed to empower the youth, uncovering hidden talents, and fostering growth in young individuals.

In 2006, I took a bold step and relocated to South Africa. Here, I immersed myself in various women’s events, seeking opportunities to contribute positively to my new community. Eventually, my passion for making a difference led me to establish Umceco Empire, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering both women and men worldwide. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling journey, filled with the joy of uniting people and witnessing positive transformations in their lives. My belief in treating everyone with kindness and respect stems from my unwavering faith and my innate nature as a loving and compassionate individual.

Last year, on November 26, 2023, I embarked on another meaningful chapter of my life by joining Chama (Challenge Aids and Malaria in Africa). Introduced to me by my inspiring mother, Warrior Patience, Chama initially posed challenges, but as I delved deeper into its mission, I discovered a profound love for its cause. Today, I proudly serve as the Acting Coordinator of the South Africa chapter of Chama. Together with our dedicated team, we’ve already made significant strides, from visiting orphanages to participating in community clean-up efforts. Our recent milestone was the successful launch of the Chama South Africa chapter on March 31, 2024. With over 150 members and growing each day, our vision is to spread love and kindness, city by city and county by county. We’ve even begun laying the groundwork for a branch in Cape Town, with hopes of expanding our reach further into neighboring countries like Swaziland, Zambia, and Botswana.

The essence of charity work is profound and deeply rewarding. It’s about touching lives, spreading hope, and making a meaningful impact, no matter how small. My deepest wish is to establish orphanages, providing nurturing environments for the little angels in need. Beyond my commitments, I find solace and joy in my hobbies—traveling to explore new cultures and playing tennis to stay active and balanced.pp.

My passion for making a difference has also inspired the creation of JoziLife, a collaborative initiative between TopCityFYI, and myself. JoziLife is an informative website dedicated to showcasing events and social experiences across South Africa, with Johannesburg as the flagship market. The platform goes beyond just highlighting happenings—it centralizes all my charitable efforts and initiatives, creating a unified space to promote positivity, connect communities, and inspire action. With JoziLife, we aim to touch even more lives, spreading kindness and fostering meaningful connections throughout South Africa and beyond.
